Originally from New York, Davis Kovacs found his father's trumpet at the bottom of a closet when he was eight years old and hasn't looked back. The trumpet defines his approach to just about everything-- Davis has led groups in Budapest, Italy, San Francisco, New York, Mexico; and presently he is based in Montreal with his group the Jazz Krispies (Daniel Gelinas on Drums, Laura Wheeler on Rhodes and Martin Heslop on Bass ).  Presently he is at work on an album of original music for release with DMR Music.
